John 3:16 " For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have cverlasting life."
God loves us so much that He does not like all of us to go to hell and suffer forever. So He sent Jesus as our perfect sacrifice to pay for all our sins and be children of God once more. All we have to do is put our faith in Jesus by repenting of our sins, and by making Him our Lord and our Savior.
Once we have done this, God will send the Holy Spirit who will be our counselor as we study God's Word. And as we become mature in His Word, we will be like Jesus, who grew in stature, in wisdom and in favor with men. Indeed, I am truly grately to God that by His Grace, I am assured of going to heaven, and that Holy Spirit dwells in me to do God's works.
