Bible verse that encourages the young

1 Timothy 4:12

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers   in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.”

Why Jesus was sent to us?

Luke 19:10

“The Son of Man came to find lost people and save them.”

This verse is so short but it en-capsulizes the main mission of Jesus. Jesus was very focused on the task that God had sent Him. God did not send Jesus to become a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer, or be a scientist. Neither was He sent to get married, or to become rich and powerful.  Jesus came to be among men in order to save the unbelievers so that everybody may have an abundant and everlasting life.

Whenever I am reminded of this verse, I am  truly grateful to God for saving me, and my family.

The Full Armor of God

Ephesians 6:11-18

“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayer and request. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”

The verse talks about the kind of armor Christians should wear to protect against the devil's scheme.
  1. Belt of Truth
  2. Breastplate of Righteousness
  3. Feet fitted with readiness to go for peace
  4. Shield of Faith
  5. Helmet of Salvation
  6. Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God
It also talks about continuing praying to God, and also praying for all the saints ( all Christians ).

This verse has taught me that the word of God , faith, and prayer can protect us against the temptations of the enemy.

Darleane's Bible Trivia about Esther

Esther is a BEAUTIFUL young woman. She is a Hebrew. Her parents died when she was a baby so her cousin Mordecai adopted her and took her as her own daughter. Then she became Queen of Persia. God planned it to happen because Naman was offending the Hebrews and he wanted to declare a war over the Hebrews.

Esther was courageous. After three days of fasting, she went to the King's court and could have been killed because she has not been summoned by the the King. But how great is God that He touched the King's heart to have pity on  Esther. God kept Esther safe all this time......=D

True Love according to the Bible

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

This verse is truly helpful to me when we were starting as a young couple. It clearly defines how one's attitude should be with respect to his spouse. It is tough to follow but is rewarding when you stick to it.

What God has commissioned every Believer

Matthew 28:19-20 ( The Great Commission)

“ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

God has commissioned all Christians to go to every country that did not know the Gospel or Good News and share it with these people so they might learn about God's offer of salvation. And also to make them as disciples of Jesus so that they can teach the word of God to others.

Start by praying where God wants you to go, and start there. It may be in your workplace, or in a remote location. Wherever it may be, God will send the Holy Spirit who will equip you, and guide you.

Darleane's Favorite Bible verse

Matthew 5:3-10 ( The Beatitudes )

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who are hungry and thirsty for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

I like this Bible verse because they are God's promises to me, and I enjoyed learning about it in Sunday school.

DO YOU KNOW GOD'S WAY TO HEAVEN?

GOD LOVES YOU and desires that you:
1. Have eternal life with Him. John 3:16  "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only  begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."
2.  Have an abundant life.  John10:10 Jesus is speaking " I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly."

BUT most people are'nt experiencing a meaningful life and aren't sure that they have
eternal life because...

Man has a SIN problem which SEPARATED him from GOD..
1.  Every one has siinned.  Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of
     God."
2.  The penalty for sin is DEATH.  Roman 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death..."
The Bible talks about two kinds of death.  The first death is physical.  The second
death is spiritual or eternal separation from God. Revelation 21:8 " But for the cowardly  and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral person and sorcerers and  idolaters and ALL LIARS, their part will be the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the Second Death."

Since sin separated mand from God, what is the solution to his problem?

JESUS CHRIST is GOD'S ONLY way to heaven.

1.   He is the ONLY way. In  John 14:6 Jesus said" I am the Way, and the truth, and the
Life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me."
2.  He COMPLETELY PAID the penalty of your sins. 1 Peter 3:18 " For Chirst also died for
sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that he might bring us to God."
3.  His Resurrection proves that He is the Son of God, the Messiah, the Only Savior.
Romans 1:3-4 "concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according
the flesh, who was declared the Son Of God with power by the resurrection from the
dead, according to the Spirit of Holiness, Jesus Christ Our Lord"
4.  He promises Eternal Life.  Jesus Himself said in John 11:25-26, " I am the
the  resurrecrtion and the life; he who believed in Me shall live even if he dies, and
everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die."

Merely knowing about what Jesus Christ has done for us is not enough.

WE must place our FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST to save us

1.  You are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9 " For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves, it is the GIFT OF GOD; not as a result of works, that no one should boast."
To be saved by faith means to TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE to save you.  Good
works are not the means to salvation, rather they are the evidence or by-products of
     your salvation.

2.  Show your faith in Jesus Christ by accepting His gift of eternal life.  Revelations 3:20,
Jesus is speaking: Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice my
voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me."
Jesus says that  He will come into your heart if you invite Him in.  That is  His promise
to you and  He will always keep His promise!

3.   Prove the sincerity of your faith by turning away from a life of sin.  Acts 26:20 " I
preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their
deeds."  A person who genuinely asks for forgiveness will seek to change his ways.
God knows we are not perfect but the sincerity of our faith will move us to live lives that show our gratitude to God for His free gift to heaven

You can pray this simple prayer to express your faith in Jesus Christ and receive Him into your heart as your Lord and Savior.  You only have to  pray this prayer once but with sincerity because when He enters your life, he will never leave you.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I need You. I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross to pay for all my sins. With your help, I will turn away from all my sins.  Please come into my life and be my Lord and Savior.  I accept you free gift of eternal life.  Make me the kind of person you want me to be.  Thank you for coming into my life and giving me eternal Life. Amen

Dear Friend, you can see from Signs of Our Times that The Lord is Coming Soon.  It might be tonight  No one knows when... Pour your heart to God right now when there is still time for We don't know what happens tommorrow.  I will back you up in Prayer.

Bible verse to successfully resist temptation

The biblical verse that helped me ward off temptations is found in 1 Corinthians10:13. This verse states that God ... will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but ... will also make the way of escape.

Just as Satan has tempted Jesus Christ with lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, we will also be subjected to these three temptations while living in this imperfect world.

Nevertheless, God has promised us a way of escape if we only rely on His Word just as what Jesus did. Jesus used God's Word everytime he was tempted by the devil.  Jesus said " It is written, " Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." when  the devil  tempted him to turn stones into bread. Again Jesus said " It is written, " You shall not tempt the Lord your God.", when the devil told Jesus to throw himself down from the pinnacle of the temple. Again Jesus resisted temptation when He said, " It is written, " You shall worship the Lord your God and only Him you shall serve." when He was tempted with the Kingdoms of the world and their glory.

So let us follow Jesus as our model to resist temptations. It is vital for every Christian to study God's Word so that when we are tempted, we will put into action God's Word to use as our escape.

Nina's favorite Bible story

My favorite Bible story is the Fall of Jericho. I like it because it is so adventurous. They followed God's command to go around the city six times and be silent until  the seventh day. Then the priest will blow their trumpets, and the people will shout!!! And God will destroy the walls of Jericho, and guarantee the Israelites victory over their enemies. But the Israelites promised to spare the family of Rahab because Rahab helped them when the guards went to her house. This shows the obedience of the Israelites to God's commands.       -Nina ^_^

My Favorite Bible Verse

John 3:16 " For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have cverlasting life."

God loves us so much that He does not like all of us to go to hell and suffer forever. So He sent Jesus as our perfect sacrifice to pay for all our sins and be children of God once more. All we have to do is put our faith in Jesus by repenting of our sins, and by making Him our Lord and our Savior.

Once we have done this, God will send the Holy Spirit who will be our counselor as we study God's Word. And as we become mature in His Word, we will be like Jesus, who grew in stature, in wisdom and in favor with men.  Indeed, I am truly grately to God that by His Grace, I am  assured of going to heaven, and  that Holy Spirit dwells in me to do God's works.
